Leadership Training in Schools
"A leadership training program in a school facilitates academic and social development while creating long-term positive social impact. A focus on leadership helps any school to become a truly great school."
- Maureen O'Toole
Did you ever hear someone say “When I grow up I want to be a loser?”
I haven’t.
But I’ve watched young people with great potential wander lost through school, relation- ships, and jobs because they lack basic personal leadership skills, the skills that help them learn how to direct their energy and efforts to creating a positive, empowering life.
There are critical life skills and classes that should be included in middle school, high school or college course offerings. Things like:
But they aren’t. And it ticks me off. So I decided to do something about it.
I have the ability and training to help young adults understand the power they have to use their natural gifts, develop their talents and accept personal responsibility to create a world of personal and professional satisfaction and success.
A parent of three, educator, professional mentor, and retired Army officer, I have worked with teens and young adults for over two decades. Working one-on-one, in small groups, or in a classroom environment, I help young adults develop basic personal and professional leadership skills that get them going down the road to achieving their dreams. These are skills they can use every day of their lives.
Make a difference in the life of a youth and you make a difference in the world.
Are you ready to make a difference? I am.
Ready, set, grow.
“I am only one, but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still
I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.” - Helen Keller
